Terrestrial Works
On Wednesday, September 17, 2008 SJC was awarded a contract by TKC Technology Solutions for civil construction services in support of the new submarine cable system landing on Kwajalein. San Juan will be providing a cable path from the beach manhole seaward approximately 302 feet. The primary purpose of this trench is to provide added protection for the new submarine cable. A portion of the trench, approximately 138 feet, will be 6 ft. deep by 3 ft. wide from the beach manhole to the low water line. Additionally, SJC will provide the construction of 1100 ft. outside plant civil works, concrete encased trench from the beach manhole to the cable building.
